Fluid Services For Every Vehicle

Fluid Service

What Is A Fluid Flush?

When you request a fluid flush our mechanics at Jack's will drain all of a certain type of fluid (coolant for example) out of your vehicle and replace it with new fluid. Every vehicle is different for when fluid service is required, so be sure to ask the techs at Jack's or see your vehicle's service manual.

Why Are The Fluids In My Vehicle Important?

The fluids in your vehicle are important because they keep everything running smoothly. They lubricate, protect and cool critical systems to avoid damage.

Signs That Your Vehicle Needs Fluid Service

It's a good idea to have your fluids checked regularly, but sometimes you will need fluid service between these checks. Here are some signs that watch out for that may mean it's time for service:

  • Warning lights- If your check engine light or oil light is on bring your vehicle into the shop right away. Usually, these lights indicate a problem with fluids and you need to have them checked.
  • Problems when shifting- If you hear grinding or squealing when shifting this could mean that there's a problem with your transmission fluid. Be sure to address this problem quickly or you could face an expensive transmission repair.
  • Low fluid levels- Try getting in the habit of checking your own fluids. If you notice that they're looking low, you'll want to schedule your fluid service ASAP.
  • Puddles left underneath your vehicle- Have you noticed that there's a puddle left behind in your driveway or garage from your car? If you're regularly finding puddles of dark liquid left behind, you need to have your vehicle's fluids checked.
  • Car overheating- If your car keeps overheating, it's likely a coolant problem. To be sure, have the mechanics at Jack's run a diagnostic test to see if this is the root problem.
