Fuel System Repair

Your fuel system functions to collect and then deliver fuel to the cylinder chamber of your car's engine. Once your fuel is in the cylinder chamber the fuel is mixed with air as it vaporizes and then the mixture burns to produce energy that powers your car. 

The fuel system is a critical part of your vehicle's combustion process and without it, it wouldn't be able to generate power that allows your vehicle to move. 

Without fuel, your vehicle can't move and there are also several critical components your system has including: 

• Fuel Tank- The fuel tank stores your fuel. 
• Fuel Pump- The fuel pump takes fuel from the tank and sends it through the fuel lines. 
• Fuel Lines- fuel lines filter contaminants and particles out of the fuel to give you the best possible gas mileage.

Listed are several things to look for that may indicate a fuel system problem: 

• Change In Gas Mileage- Even the smallest problem with your fuel system can change your car's efficiency. If you're needing to fill up more at the pump than usual it could be a fuel system problem.
• Poor Start-  Notice your car's having trouble starting? Or maybe it won't start at all, it's possible that it could be a problem with the internal combustion process. 
• Misfiring or Stalling-  There are lots of different things that can cause a misfire or stall, so don't rule out your fuel pump being a problem just yet without having the proper diagnosis from an experienced mechanic.  
• Hesitation- Does your car feel like it's hesitating while you're driving? Sometimes a dirty air filter can cause this problem along with other issues with the fuel system.
